Wow. Wow. Wow.

Jaysen sends me a pointer to Edmund Eagan's [Twelfth Root](http://www.twelfthroot.com/studio/index.html) studio in Ottawa, Canada. This fellow has a 12-panel Serge system with a custom laser-cut aluminum stand, created by Mike Adjillian. While the system as a whole lives in a studio, it sure does look like a live performance rig to me. Really nice piece of work, that.

i think i spy a 13th panel there. man... great picture of this legendary serge.

**gashoagie** (2005-12-02):

why aluminium ? why not stainless? better yet titanium ! ;-)

**cacealian** (2005-12-02):

Looks like something the Krell would use.

**cebec** (2005-12-02):

aluminum is lightweight. dunno about titanium but stainless would weigh a ton.

**Chris Randall** (2005-12-02):

Aluminum and titanium are both light, while stainless is not, true enough. Also, aluminum costs about a 10th of titanium and a fifth of stainless. While it's worth noting that each one of those Serge panels is, at a minumum, three grand, the stand must have cost on the order of five grand to have made, if I had to hazzard a guess. Maybe more. But out of titanium it would easily be three times that.

I would have had it made out of platinum. But I don't fuck around.

**gashoagie** (2005-12-02):

hmmm . He could have done some really cool electrical coloration if he used Nobium ;-)

or even annodized the aluminium , so it won't oxidize .

oh, but my humor is lost .

**inteliko** (2005-12-03):

Funny nobody ripped on the mackie piece in there yet .

**Chris Randall** (2005-12-03):

Nothing wrong with a Control or HUI. They're pretty good pieces. But they don't pass audio.

i haven't checked out edmund's site in awhile, nice bit of controller p0rn here:

the large continuum, lemur, and wacom pad. the wacom is hooked into the Kyma system (not pictured in either picture).

one of my more favorite studio pics are from Franz Danksagmüller's studio which is located in the organ loft of St. Pölten cathedral in Austria. doepfer, kyma, continuum, and a huge pipe organ. that is sounds like a service worth attending.

Was the Nobium comment a reference to body jewelry? Is this guy a piercer?
