Hard-Core Gear Porn Friday!!!
From the original Analog Industries archive. Some links and images from that era no longer resolve.

The above picture is the studio of one Ruediger Lorenz, c. 1996 or so. He’s the one on the right; don’t know who the other two fellows are, but that guy with the Hard Rock shirt on really needs some lunch or something. He’s running the decks because he’s too weak to pick up a 3.5mm patch cable, I think. Anyways, that gigantic modular synthesizer tricked out in the red and white is of his own design, featuring parts from several different manufacturers, all DIY’d in to a monolithic case.

He has a pretty stellar collection, in addition to that monster DIY project, including a PPG 300-series modular, a complete Roland System 100, a buncha Moog (for the obligatory Moog Cred), and the Boehm Soundlab pictured above. Another thing he has, and something I would dearly love to aquire myself, is a Roland CMU-810. If you have one of these (and please don’t tell me about it unless you have the card, cable, and Apple ][+ software) I’ll be more than happy to take it off your hands.
