Since it's been inquired by several people, [here](https://web.archive.org/web/2006/http://www.analogindustries.com/samples/light_pass.mp3) is an MP3 of the full track of Enoch Light's "Pass And I'll Call You." I assume it was named after the phrase his A&R guy uttered when he heard it. This song is, in a word, tragic.

Also, if you missed it in the comments, effects are fine. Resynthesis is fine. Anything is fine as long as the result is 153bpm, four measures long, and only uses the original source material.

Yikes! Where hippy met Lawrence Welk. More ass-tastic than expected.

Well, you can't say I didn't warn you.

ASSTASTIC?!??!

no way. THIS TRACK IS A-FUCKING-MAZING.

my intelligent dnb remix of this track is going to be at least as good as anythiing Makato put out on Good Looking. just wait and see ...

thanks for giving me this track Chris. what album is it from?

**Suit & Tie Guy** (2006-02-05):

is it kosher if the tempo is an even-integer multiple or division of 153 bpm?

**Chris Randall** (2006-02-05):

Oh, double that shit up, by all means, or half-time, or whatever. As long as the resulting file you give me is the same length as a 153 bpm 4-measure song. So if you go to half time, you're only going to get two measures to have your say. Conversly, going to double will give you 8 tasty measures, which is 1/5 a whole song, practically. (Of course, it'll be at 306 bpm, which is a pretty fair clip by anyone's standards.)

As for the song, it comes from squat in the middle of one the worst Space Age Bachelor Pad albums of all time, Enoch Light's Permissive Polyphonics (Project 3 records.) To be avoided at all costs.

i'm a bigger fan of enoch light's _persuasuve percussion_-styled records than this more obvious "switched on" cashcow, but seriously, man. this cut rocks. cheers.
