Hard-Core Gear Porn Friday!!!
From the original Analog Industries archive. Some links and images from that era no longer resolve.

Oh, this is a beauty. If that rig isn’t the business I don’t know what is. I’d be happy with those two stands that have a MemoryMoog, a Jupiter 6, and four (did you just read that right? Four?) Jupiter 8 beauties. This studio of Devastating Power belongs to one Ken Elhardt, who you may know from his hyper-realistic MOTM demo patches.
So, yeah, that’s a lot of synthy goodness. Interestingly enough, I don’t see a Prophet 5. A MemoryMoog and four Jupiter 8s, and no Prophet 5? Come on, Ken. You’re only one synth away from the Holy Trinity. Although, I suppose it’s academic at this point. Ethan Callander reminded me of this page, one of many stupifying collections at Synthfool. I suppose he was attempting to make ammends for that tragic studio of a couple days ago.

That must be an old photo. I don't see his MOTM modular, Ion, Andromeda, etc.
The sounds of the Kawai K5K keyboard is used to layer the O1/W sounds to create unique evolving textures, of course.
whats that kawai K5K doing on the floor.....

Anybody who follows the Analog Heaven list knows Kenneth to be a bit of an odd duck. But he's an amazing synth programmer. Somewhere there were mp3s posted of a drum kit that he did with the Ion and it was jaw-dropping.
how the hell do people find the money to pay for this stuff??
Its still even hard to belive people actually make a living doing music
Im lucky if I can take care of base bills - I must be doing something wrong
this set up is impressive ,though those memorymoogs and even jp-8s now have reliablilty issues
No really, "how the hell do people find the money to pay for this stuff?" I found $7 on the sidewalk this morning at 3AM, and I can't buy even one synth with it... Bah.
