Discovering Electronic Music...
From the original Analog Industries archive. Some links and images from that era no longer resolve.
MatrixSynth has probably already posted this, but if he did, I missed it. This is the fantastic Bernard Wilets film from 1983, Discovering Electronic Music. It is so fantasical awesome as to defy description. Break out the Klang. It is, of course, quite long. Above is part one. Part two is here, and part three can be found here. Special thanks to jdfan for bringing it to my attention.

Yep, grabbed it in April (http://matrixsynth.blogspot.com/2006/04/discovering-electronic-music-on.html). It's great stuff.
Yeah, I figured. There's no way something like this would have escaped your attention!

Would this be a blog pissing competion?
No, that's over at pissingthing.com.
Nah, I love Analog Industries. While I'm grabbing stuff of the net Chris is probably doing something more useful, like developing kick ass software or producing music, so...
I do miss HCGPF though. : )
i want the button hat transposes everything for my flute solo. that seems pretty useful.
That video makes me all smiley and stuff.
The generation split in this is weird.
The analogue synth stuff was done in 1970, and was released as a 16mm film reel at the time, and the stuff with the Fairlight was added in the 80s for the video version.
A pissing contest, you say?

I still get about three emails a week from people saying "hey, have you seen this amazing series about electronic music?"
