A Nice Little Weekend Project...

From the original Analog Industries archive. Some links and images from that era no longer resolve.

Here’s a cool instructable about making a little feedback daughter-box-thing to give any guitar pedal a feedback knob. I should note that feedback can be interesting on most any effect; he really only mentions “cheap delay pedals,” but try feedback on a compressor or filter for extra fun. Found on GetLofi.

I've seen this type of project crop up a few times but never gotten around to giving it a go. This looks pretty damn simple though, I think when I'm finished my Thing-a-ma-kit I'll give it a shot.

    yeah, feedback loops.

i picked up a 'mobius' pedal in a package deal last year ... it's a slightly more stage-ready (and 10x more $) version of this project. lots of fun in a loop w/ the sherman.

I built one of those recently:

They take no time to whip together, and, if you don't already have the parts laying around, will only run you $20 or so (with most of that coming from the stomp switch).

One thing I wish I had done on mine was to put the dial in a rocker enclosure, so I wouldn't have to use my hands to "play" the feedback loop. Oh well. Next time.

Please post a demo if you end up making one!
