Okay, I survived the Great Outdoors with nothing more than a back ache. Turns out that it is possible to live a full day without cell service. Who knew?

Anyhow, I'm back. Hopefully I'll manage to collect my wits enough to make a "real" post here shortly, but in the meantime, look at [this.](http://sneak-thief.com/nordrs7000.html) A Nord Micro Modular shoehorned inside a Yamaha RS7000. Interesting juxtaposition. I like gear "mashups" like this. What other gear marriages are documented on the intertubes?

Oh, c'mon Chris, you can do better than this. How was the trip? Did the chipmunks tell you 'bout wall street? How come you have a back ache? Why man 1, nature 0?

Here's where I was:

I bet you didn't know that the intersection of No and Where was in Oregon. No chipmunks. No people. No wi-fi. An airplane went overhead once.

What I did: looked for sunstones. Found about 90 worth keeping, and 10 worth having cut. Had one cut to 8.9 carats. You can do the math on that yourself, by looking at this page:

Visit the desert for fun and profit. Don't mind the blisters.

A MiniMoog built into an Oberheim Eight Voice. That's hot.
