Okay, time for round two. Here's what's on the block:

**Apogee Rosetta 200 (192):** You know it. You love it. You want it. I have the box and all the materials, and never even sent in the registration card. Essentially flawless. $1100.

**DSI Mopho:** Every time I track with this, I end up replacing the track with something from one of my other analogs. That means to me that it is sucking up electricity that is better used elsewhere. This is essentially new. $325.

**Roland MKS-80:** I have a fellow in Finland that wants to buy this, but I don't know if I can stomach sending it there. If I can find a buyer in the US or Canada, I'd prefer that. It is a Rev 5. $1100.

**Elektron MonoMachine:** Essentially new. The safety plastic is still on the display, even. This is a Mk 1. Comes with rack ears (unopened.) $800.

**Akai MPD32:** I don't use this hardly at all, so out it goes. I thought it would be a better idea than it turned out to be for my workflow. I'm just more comfortable typing beats. Essentially new. $200.

Prices are firm. Buyer pays true shipping cost. Paypal only, unless you live in PDX or environs in which case we can meet up and swap real cashy money. I'll be willing to consider the following in trade for various pieces, plus or minus the appropriate amounts of cash: API 2500, 500-format pres (in pairs), Dangerous D-Box, Memorymoog w/ Lintronics mod, 909, Chandler TG1 or TG12413. [Drop me a line](mailto:chris@positronrecords.com) if something catches your fancy.

**ALSO....** Adam is selling some nice pieces concurrently. He's got an SE Omega 8, a LinnDrum LM-2, and another MonoMachine. His post on the subject is [here.](http://studionebula.com/blog/2009/01/09/synths-and-drum-machine-for-sale)

**Chris Randall** (2009-01-21):

No gripe whatsoever. It's a great synth. If I don't change up my instruments on a relatively consistent basis, I end up making the same music over and over again.

**drewkeys** (2009-01-21):

CR i'm curious about the motivation to sell the MKS-80. Are you just ready for new kit and new sounds or do you have a firm gripe with it?

**synthetic** (2009-01-21):

Wow the Mopho is a quick turnaround, even for you. Maybe you should consider renting. :)

**chaircrusher** (2009-01-21):

I'll be the jackass who points out that you can get a new Akai MPD32 for much less than you're asking.

Sorry!

**Chris Randall** (2009-01-21):

No problem. The price must have dropped since the last time I looked. It was 399 when I bought it. Fixed.

**jeffie** (2009-01-21):

Based in part on your original post I was considering getting a Mopho ( assuming a local store would stock it so I could give it a spin first ). Any *particular reason it is inferior, or does it just seem like you have other, better monosynths?

For example, I don't have any analog, mono synths. Would the Mopho be a good buy still?

**th0mas** (2009-01-21):

Hey Chris: I'd be interested in trading my x0xb0x for your monomachine if it suits your fancy. I built it myself, but not from a kit since non were available.. I bought all the parts from suppliers myself except the frontpanel and circuit board which came from adafruit. Hit me up and I'll record some dry samples, etc

**Chris Randall** (2009-01-21):

I don't really want an x0xb0x, sorry. I can afford a 303, and I don't have one, so that should tell you everything you need to know about that.

Regarding the Mopho, it just doesn't fit in my worldview of how synths should sound. It's a fine little box, and for the money, you'd be hard pressed to find a more sophisticated analog. But it just ain't how I roll.

Cool: I was having anxiety about parting with it or having you blogging about my build quality after I posted the idea anyways ;)

**Downpressor** (2009-01-22):

Dang. I'da bought the mofo but I guess you dont like shipping out of Obamastan so maybe thats how it goes.
