[Demonstration of Eos hall reverb algorithm on piano...](http://soundcloud.com/chris-randall/demonstration-of-eos-hall-reverb-algorithm-on-piano) by [Chris Randall](http://soundcloud.com/chris-randall)

Here's a demonstration of the Eos "Superhall" algorithm on piano. The piano samples are from the Kontakt factory library, the August Foerster "Full Convolution" set. The first little flourish is dry, no Eos, then I automate the send up to about 35%. (-13dB against the track, according to Cubase's internal logic.)

Eos is set on Superhall, with a fairly long decay of about 15 seconds, and most other controls are in the middle of their range. So this is a long-ish example of a middle-of-the-road Eos sound. You can download the AIFF if you'd like to give it a closer listen. Note that there are no other effects on this track, nor any compression or limiting of any sort. Kontakt, with a send to Eos, right out the stereo buss.

The piece itself is something I call "Lament On A Missing Girl In C Major." I think it's gonna be a hit.

Ahh, love that sound. I am nigh on broke from having bought a Kurzweil keyboard this afternoon but I'm sure I'll find a way to snaffle this up when you release it.

Not D-minor? I find D-minor the saddest of all keys.

It takes a special skill to play a lament in the Key Of Victory.

That said, I think my sense of humor is perhaps not as clever as I like to think it is. Not a single person has got the joke yet, as far as I can tell.

Sounds like EoS is well on its way. Sounds fantastic! On a semi-related note, I am becoming amazed at how much I visit this site lately...

If a reverb is not full of techno, and if a reverb can be thought of as a series of delays, does that mean a reverb is full of itself? Never mind, I want it. Nice work.

I was going to complement Chris on the composition, and say how it reminded me of a cross between Satie and Joplin. Then I read MtL's post, and the rusty gears of my brain finally clicked into place...

Lovely-- can't wait.
