I managed to shoehorn the K250 in my office. I'm sure you're all happy to find that out. I couldn't get far enough away from it to actually take a proper photograph, so your fertile imaginations will have to fill in the blanks.

I have a Mac Color Classic... it would be the perfect companion for this. The thing still boots up and runs Recycle and Vision.

By the way... those buttons look like the same ones on the AMS RMX16. Different color but same design...

If you live anywhere near PDX, you need to front that shit over here like pronto. I even have the software already.

Well, that looks sturdier than anything M-Audio makes. I might have to track one of those down.. and then hope that the owner is dumb enough to sell it as cheap as you got yours.

i'd be happy to send you an interview i did with the chief scientist at Kurweil during the development of the 250...

Last time I checked New Zealand wasn't very close
to PDX. ;-) Check out this post for a great deal on
his Goldbaby offerings: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3684305.
and best birthday wishes Huggie!

LOL. If I was closer I would lend you my Color Clasic for sure. Just for the photo op!

**huggie** (2009-07-25):

I remember this music video in the late 80's with some dude rocking the Mac classic. I wish I could remember who it was. Pet Shop Boys or someone like that...

**Chris Randall** (2009-07-25):

Heh. Didn't realize "huggie" was Hugo. I guess I'll just have to come to NZ and get it.

I got to work with a 250 some 25 years ago doing some sessions at Dallas Sound Lab. It even seemed big along the back wall in their sizable control room across from a large SSL.

I have an original 250 stand in storage. I used to put my OB-8 on it as second tier behind another stand. It's a multi-piece steel thing with those buttons like canopies use... thumb-biters to be sure!
