The Usual Monday Bullshit...

From the original Analog Industries archive. Some links and images from that era no longer resolve.

Just a general update on the State Of Things ’round these parts. In no particular order:

1. The AU port of Ronin is hideously problematic, as we feared. (This is the main reason we deprecated it in the first place.) However, it seems that the game of Whack-A-Mole that Adam has been playing for the last two weeks is drawing to a close. Only one major problem is outstanding, and provided no other problems pop in to being when it is fixed (which is what has been happening) I should have a working AU out to the testers here in a day or two. Then we have to roll the fixes from the AU in to the VSTs, and address a couple other little things. It’s getting there, though.

2. Somewhat concurrent (but not necessarily so) with the Ronin release, the AD site will get a complete facelift and a minor reorganization.

3. Work proceeds apace on the RT60 stuff. We’ve upped the tempo a bit for the next couple songs, which is a bit of a relief after living in the 65-80 range for the entire lifespan of the band. I’ve also got one complete working example of the LED lighting, which I will probably demonstrate at the Live meetup I spoke about two posts ago. I’m very happy with the Arduino/Shiftbrite combination right now, and the lighting is actually controlled from Live, via Pd (which can talk directly to the Arduino.) I’ll do a complete post about how I’ve pulled this off in the near future.

It occurs to me that a new visitor to this site would be completely flummoxed by the entirety of this post. “WTF is this dude talking about? AD? RT60? Ronin?”
