(The subject line of this post will be a complete mystery to non-Americans, I imagine. Or to those born in the politically correct era.)

Okay, we've got an OSX update on the way that will fix the crashing problems that PPC users have been experiencing. It should be along in short order, and I'll update this post and blather on in the usual places about it.

The Cymbal Issue, where Logic 9.0.2 users were experiencing a rezzed-out cymbalThing that was fucking up the whole output buss, is a Logic 9.0.2 bug, and is fixed by downloading and installing Logic 9.1. Go figure. Apple actually did us a solid for a change. Strike that.

Keep on keepin' on, otherwise. Hopefully, at some point Real Soon Now, we can return to our regularly scheduled programming. But for now, I have nothing to talk about but Tattoo-related injuries.

i actually recorded some of that rezzed out cymbal. except for the fact that it stopped playback of all other sounds i quite liked it and intend to use the sample.

Ha! you're right, I'm in Englishland and I didn't understand it at all. However, I looked it up and am now educated as well as entertained; there can be no better state. Analog Industries--Emsmartening the Doofusses; that should be your new corporate slogan, I reckon.
Although I'm quite looking forward to "normal services" this whole Tattoo business has been absolutely fascinating. The process is different from music making, but it is interesting to see the parallels between your different spheres of creativity: the way that software has transformed/informed the video demos...
I'd be eager to hear you compare/contrast the way that you go from concept to realization in the two areas.
Anyway, brilliant stuff. Keep up the good work.

At first I thought it was a reference to the Michael Steele "Honest Injun" changed to "Honest Engine" Faux News transcript thingie.

yay! Logic 9.1 solved a lot of problems for me.. at least until now.

- Cymbal works (!!!!)
- Interface is faster, pressing the mouse somewhere mostly works, but is still laggy. (especially when editing sounds)
- Random note entries seem to be properly placed in the seq window now. Not tested very well though. (filling the grid with random notes with the random button didn't seem to sync visuals with notes)

Besides that, it totally rocks! I love the sounds, but the real miracle is the ease of use of the step sequencers for automating everything.

Some requests remain in my head, as I need to sleep now... a lot..
