Just uploaded a video preview of Discord3's highlights. I think I touched on all the major features; I'll do a full tutorial series once I have a 100% working OS X VST. The quality of Snaggit's video capture is fairly lacking; nothing to compare with Screenflow. But this should give you a good idea of what's going on with the three engines.

I think you mean this:

Are you going to do a demo with a pitch related loop? It's hard to tell how well it tracks pitch with a drumloop.

This sounds perfect my renoise glitch setup.. also camtasia studio is more for video snagit is for still images

**Chris Randall** (2010-05-17):

@Darren: It doesn't track pitch very well outside the +/- 1 octave range. These algorithms are nothing like the ones used in modern pitch shifters; you don't get these plugs for accurate pitch shifting.

That said, I'm going to do a couple tutorial videos, and one of them will be how to chord-i-fy mono stuff. Another will be how to get the famous H910 "ADT" sound (which will be a preset, but bears some explanation.)

Sounds smooth.

**Darren "Gaylord" Halm** (2010-05-17):

Yeah thats cool. Thats exactly what I found with Discord 2, anything up to +/- 1 Octave tracked well, then it got squirrelly.

Hi Chris,

Looking forward to Discord3 and will be upgrading comme toujours;

What are the "modern pitch shifters" you refer to, hardware? software? I often need a basic, solid as possible, transpo' of fixed audio in Logic, to tune found sound kinda stuff to concert pitch . I usually use Apple AU Pitch, sometimes Quikwak Pitchwheel and even Logic Pitch Changer for the task. What's the highest quality algorithm available in software/AU IYO?

A very small graphic design note: Have you considered making the header type flush right? Or just changing the order? It reads as "3 discord..." to me. Maybe the 3 could be tiny like a cubed number. Otherwise, it looks and sounds impressive. I'm anticipating the upgrade.
