Here is the first of the six tutorials I'll do for Axon. This one is a super fast overview of the Neuron Sequencer programming method, for people that want to see it in action. I'll go way more in depth in Pt. 2, showing how to make more predictable beats, multiple senders for fun and profit, and how to get the most out of external triggering.

Thanks. I do find it a little difficult to watch what’s happening in the plug and read the words off to the side at the same time. I had to keep rewinding while I watched.

I'm with bongo_x.

A delay between the text description on the left and the action on the right would be nice.

**tngregory** (2010-08-12):

i now miss the voiceover for two reasons. usability and character. but, damn, i am loving this plug-in and appreciate the information in the tutorials. thanks!

**bub** (2010-08-12):

mmmhh, i click on the video itself, read the text, then click again - yep, i'm known for crazy workarounds...
but damn, can't decide whether to buy or not, how many presets are there?

**Chris Randall** (2010-08-12):

Okay. So I make videos with voice-overs, and everyone is like "these suck! Move faster!" So I make fast-moving videos with text, and everyone is like "these suck! Move slower and talk more!"

Seriously, for expenses and a hundred bucks I'll come to your house and show you how to use it.

@bub: there are 42.

I like the text, as opposed to voice. Nothing against your voice, mind you. It just seems like the voice distracts from the plugin audio, where the words don't. Plus, the font of the tutorial and the font used in the plugin (and the AD website) add up to an integrated experience.

I figure I will have to rewind a few times to learn stuff anyway.

**R.A.W.** (2010-08-12):

@bub: 41 presets, and 1 init preset.. but the real fun starts with making your own sounds and sequences.

**bub** (2010-08-12):

@R.A.W., of course - i'm just worried that i'm too thick to get my head around the sequencer so a few starting points to tweak and reverse engineer are definitely appreciated.
42 is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything though, so i think i'll just dive a bit deeper into debt. ; )

**Computer Controlled** (2010-08-12):

The sequencer is actually pretty easy to figure out. Here is a little something i did yesterday to show off some of what it can do. It's nothing complicated or anything. The focus is on Axon, not the drum programming =o]

It's basically 2 Instances of Axon, each running 3 voices and one instance of D16's Drumazon. That's all. But as you can hear, it's great for polyrhythmic percussion style sequences.

**R.A.W.** (2010-08-12):

@bub: just buy and try it, you can always get a refund. i own almost all ad plugs, but i swapped one of my first purchases. chris made the transfer fast and easy and i'm sure it's the same if you'd decide to get your money back.
but i asure you, you'll like it! :)
