Axon Tutorial #2...
From the original Analog Industries archive. Some links and images from that era no longer resolve.
Here’s the second video in my 6-part “How To Run This Little Fucker” series. In this one, I show a little more in-depth about how to make connections, and the rhythms that result. I changed the format a bit to make it less wordy than the last one, which was apparently causing some problems.

Cool! Looking forward to learning more about Axon.
In the video, you refer to Neuron 7. Shouldn't that be 6? 0 in the center, then 1 through 6 around the outside?
The point is still made, but I had trouble at first understanding what you were referring to when my counting didn't match.
Nice work on this thing.
Whoops. Look like a re-render is in my future. Good catch.
Edit: Christ wept, how the fuck did I manage that? Every reference to 7 is 6, and every reference to 6 is 5. Rendering a new one now, replacement imminent.

FWIW, I didn't catch the 7 when I watched it. Of course I was swearing about Unicode or something at the same time.

All righty. Fixed. Sorry 'bout that.

Axon is brilliant - I've just purchased and I'm having loads of fun messing with this! Cheers.
this, as is becoming standard with AI releases, is an exceptionally cool looking product. while I understand from website blurbs that you guys generally eschew the very idea of product demos - this would be a nice plugin to put my hands on before i bought it - granted the price is really good, not a huge risk or anything, but i'm not sure i'll really understand it until i sprinkle it on my stuff and roll around in it a little, as opposed to say, eos or tattoo, where i heard it and was immediately hooked. i don't want to trigger a shitstorm about demos, i'm juss' sayin'..
thanks for keeping things fresh.

I'm starting to grasp this concept now.
Boy, you guys are brainy.

maybe a brain freeze on my part, but...
is there a way to visualize the linkages, once they are made?
for instance, if inspecting a preset
@rawore: while in wire mode, click on a neuron. All its receivers will be surrounded by a blue border. Look at 1:18 on the video above, it'll show neuron 0 sending to neurons 1 and 6.
