Axon Updated to 1.1.0
From the original Analog Industries archive. Some links and images from that era no longer resolve.
If you own Axon, hit your account in the AD store and grab v1.1.0. In this update:
Multiple Outputs. We added 7 stereo outputs, one for each voice/neuron. These are pre-mixer, so are not affected by mute, solo, pan, or fader.
Zero Reset. A third sync mode has been added, RST. In this mode, Axon syncs to host, but every time you stop the host transport, the counters in each Neuron reset to zero. The net result is that Axon becomes much more determinate. (It always was, but in this way, it starts exactly the same every time.) This makes it much less likely to start on the “and” or whatever. The downside is that the neurons lose their phase relationship if you’ve been noodling for a while, so the resulting pattern the first time you stop will be a bit different.
Bug Fixes. The timing bug in Logic has been dealt with, as well as another obscure automation bug in the AudioUnit version, and some other minor shit.
CPU Load Improvement. This is almost undetectable, maybe 1% on a modern quad-core, but it sure does make a nice bullet point.
This update is, of course, free. Go forth.
