The Usual Monday Bullshit…

Making good headway on the 45-odd projects I’m currently involved in, but Spinning Plate Syndrome is setting in. In no particular order:

New Beatserv Kits. There’s a new Beatserv sample set, (h)IDM, which you’ll obviously want. No loopy-loops this time, just quality noises. Obviously this sort of thing ain’t for everybody, but it is, on the other hand, for me. The sample audio on the product page is a pretty good IDM e.p. in its own right.

Apple TV Haxoring. I’m working on a generative art piece, for which I was going to use a Beagleboard for the brains (mmmmm, brains!) but the company I ordered the Beagleboard from (who shall, at this juncture, remain nameless) couldn’t be bothered to actually send me same in a timely fashion. So I grabbed myself one of them shiny new Apple TV hockey pucks, and am now waiting patiently for the iPhone Dev folks to jailbreak it. If you’re curious, it’s basically an 8-gig iPod Touch, guts-wise, with a front end app called Lowtide that is, more or less, Front Row. In any case, I’ve got a fair chunk of the code done (screenshot above) and running on my iPad, for what it’s worth.

Replicant 1.5. This will probably be done on the Windows side today. I would be very surprised if it wasn’t out by the end of the week.

Micronaut. Two Micronaut releases on the way. Many Moons, which is a selection of tracks from the first decade, including some unreleased, re-mixed and remastered. The other is Capacitor, another EP in the vein of Resistor. Those are coming along nicely. The collection is a real bear, as I have to hunt down all the old files, which are in god-only-knows what format (one of the unreleased tracks, which pre-dates the release of the first Micronaut album, was a Master Tracks Pro file, the horror and shame of it all.) But I’m making headway.
