If you recall, [a while back](https://analogindustries.com/2008/06/raymond-scott-on-to-something/) I mentioned that Audio Damage had donated a fairly substantial sum towards the creation of the film "Deconstructing Dad: The Music, Machines, and Mystery Of Raymond Scott." Well, as it happens, the film is now done, and is making the rounds of the festival circuit as you read this. Even better, a DVD of the film is now available to [purchase](http://kunaki.com/Sales.asp?PID=PX00ZHU2PG).

The film was made by Stan Warnow, Raymond Scott's son, and thus provides a much deeper insight than a normal biopic might. He's also a hell of a nice guy, and wants to do right by his father's legacy. Wall-to-wall win, basically.

This is a good way to end the day and go into the weekend. Didn't realize you helped finance this thing. Nice work.

**huggie** (2010-11-06):

I had no idea you guys helped fund this. Great project to be involved in.

I bought the DVD as soon as it was released. Very enjoyable doco. Highly recommend it!

In my life outside of Goldbaby... I worked as a contractor in the film industry here in New Zealand. I have been involved in lots of documentaries and independent low budget films... money is always shit, sometimes I have even worked for free. However they have been some of my favorite jobs and proudest moments in the industry.

I applaud anyone who gets involved in projects like these. With out passionate people donating time and money these kind of films don't get made.

I attended the Australian Film and Television School in the 90s and some of my work on student films and other band projects were also highlights good on you Chris for supporting this venture

PS maybe there is a T-Shirt in that photo?

**RGiskard** (2010-11-07):

Watched the movie yesterday, definitely worth checking out.

Unfortunately, AD was misquoted on the "thanks" credits as "Audio Image". Oh well.

**Chris Randall** (2010-11-07):

Sigh. It ain't ever easy, is it? Well, we didn't actually think that a credit in this movie would sell any plug-ins; not why we did it, so the name thing doesn't matter.
