Another heaping slab of analog squishies served up, in the form of **Capacitor**. This is a continuation of the theme I started with Resistor, and will finish with Transformer (coming in Q1 2011.) It is, by and large, a plug-in free zone. Almost every sound is generated from either an analog synth, drum machine, or guitar (mic'd; I don't condone the use of amp sims except in writing) and almost all the effects are hardware.

The interesting track to converse about here will be _CMU_ which is, unsurprisingly, 100% created and sequenced with the Apple //e and CMU-800R. It was an extremely tricky track to make, as I had to do a ton of individual track recordings, and sequencing on the CMU-800R software is roughly akin to, as I explained to someone the other day, driving a car via Morse code. So it's a fairly satisfying track for me.

Anyhow, there you go. Pay What You Want, At Least A Buck at Bandcamp. I'll put the Tunecore submission up this weekend, for people that prefer other avenues of distribution, but obviously Bandcamp is my preferred outlet.

Thank you, very happy to hear that you're going to make a third installment too. Resistor has been my favorite Micronaut album thus far.

CMU is awesome.

Congrats! Now where's my The Devil His Due follow-up with real analog piano? ;)

**huggie** (2010-11-05):

Another great release.

Loving CMU. Giving yourself a technological handicap has paid dividends!

Godddammmmm that cmu tune sounds good. Nothing like a 606 indeed.

**inteliko** (2010-11-05):

@ hugo, whats up with a tape cmu?

**Nostradamus** (2010-11-05):

Resistor ... capacitor - what's the name of the next release? Diode? No, boring. Optocoupler? Well - no. Or voltage regulator. Better. NO, the coolest name is: Three-terminal Off-line PWM Switch.

Just kidding. ;)

**Chris Randall** (2010-11-05):

At this time, I direct your attention to the second sentence of the post above.

Idle question: would people be interested in the parts for CMU, in order to make Versions?

Chris, I'm always up for messing around in another persons stems. It's usually pretty interesting to see the ways that people build a track. Especially if it is someone who tends to come at music production from a very different angle than me.

I'm with wgparham.

**RobC** (2010-11-06):

Stems would be great. Charge us for them on bandcamp?

Excellent EP in general, I reckon.

**inteliko** (2010-11-06):

Hell to the yeah, link pls?

Of course!

Already said you in twitter that my preferred were CMU and Soffrette!

I'll be glad to do a "Version"!
