Another revolution around the sun, thus completing our somewhat arbitrary, albeit quite handy, unit of meta-time one more time. Overall, I feel I had a pretty productive year. Three AD products, or five if you count Replicant (I don't) and Phosphor (which ain't done yet). Two Micronaut EP releases (three if you count Transformer, which is mixed but not mastered or sequenced), 12 columns and one feature article for Computer Music, 138 posts here, a fairly chunky app for TASCAM, and somewhere in there I managed to move 1260 miles.

So, not bad, all in all. Not a hugely productive year, but nobody could call me lazy and get away with it. Except my wife, who seems to not be fond of socks under the coffee table. Who knew?

Anyhow, here's to you all for essentially subsidizing my existence on this mortal coil, and here's to a happy, healthy, and productive 2011.

I lived through 2010, and that's best thing I can say about it.

I also, after a 5+ year 'hiatus', got back in to playing guitar and keys, and finally started to delve in to using the PC as an instrument. This is largely due to my re-discovery of the music-formally-known-as-industrial and a little checking in to what my faves from back in the day were up to now.

Thanks for the inspiration and for all you do for the music and the community. Happy next year to you and yours.

2011? I don't even know what to think about that. It's not even the beginning of the 2000's anymore. I remember being a kid and trying to figure out how old I would be in the mythical year 2000, if by some miracle I lived that long. The answer was always "really old". My brain is not wired to think of 2000 as far in the past.

Not a great year, but it could always be worse.

Most of our friends have FB statuses which go something like "good riddance 2010, you cruel bitch." Including us.

Drinking a nice 2007 BV Rutherford cabernet and enjoying the silence. Ready to reboot the calendar.

**huggie** (2011-01-01):

Cheers Chris! Hope you have a great 2011 as well.

2011 is the international year of forests and chemistry. Just in case you were wondering...

Yeah later for 2010.

Thanks for all the great ways to spend less than a hundred bucks on tools that are teh awesomeness.

I am glad to send subsidies your way once and a while. When I get a new laptop it will be game on. I have some post PPC catching up to do!

Thanks for Chris and Adam for your vision and creativity.

Best Regards and a solid 2011.

**boothnavy** (2011-01-01):

Cheers!

Thanks for all your bring to the community.

Hugo, you're in the future, how's 2011 shaping up so far? A lot of people I know seem to have some pretty high expectations. Should I tell them to dial it back?

And, yeah, I guess the first decade of the current millennium kind of blew on a lot of major levels, but there was also some cool shit, the kind of shit C.R. mentions up there. There were some great tools and toys that made making music and spending money a lot of fun! Thanks for contributing to that.

**huggie** (2011-01-01):

Hey puffer. The future is very shiny. Jet packs and 3 course meals in a pill etc. Although robotic cops malfunctioning are a constant threat. Luckily I'm completely encapsulated in iDevices and have lost all my free will...

Back down to the Certain Death Arena now. It's family day and some prisoners are racing each other in early 80's customized American muscle cars modded with high-tech military weapons.

Tell your friends 2011 is absolutely doubleplusgood!

I've got it! Hugo will give me tips about the future, I will invest in stocks, horse races and such, and we'll split the profit.

How can it fail? I'm just going to need $1000 from each of you to get in on the ground floor of this amazing opportunity.

Chris (and Adam)

thanks for your instruments and providing this great forum that I learn so much from

**Nostradamus** (2011-01-02):

Hey Chris,

any chance to get 64 bit support for your EOS?

**Chris Randall** (2011-01-02):

You mean _your_ Eos, I assume.

In any event, writing the AD info@ address is the way to ask random out-of-the-blue AD questions, not posting here in an entirely unrelated thread.

We'll be adding Win64 support to Eos as soon as Phosphor is released. We won't be doing any of the OS X 64-bit flavors until the wrapper we use has been updated to 64-bit.

My Eos, your Eos, our Eos ... However, sorry for posting here. I just dropped by and and took the opportunity to ask. I'm glad to hear that there's a 64 bit version planned.
