More Disembodied Hands Doin' Stuff...

I got an Eventide Space pedal yesterday, and only had a chance to fool with it for a few minutes. But today, I had a couple-hour window between when Adam decided he couldn’t take AudioUnits any more and when the folks at $MEGA_CORP get to work, so I decided to spend some quality time with the Space.
I started at the last preset, #100, since I have 25 years of experience with virtually every product Eventide has ever made, and I know that they put the best presets at the end, always. I only made it to, like, 85 or something before I was all like “man, I gotta bust out a track.” So I fired up the Tempest on a Project of synthesized drums I’ve been working on in my copious free time and whacked in a couple patterns. Then I pulled out the Genome sequencer from White Noise for my iPad and went to town.
So, the net result is that this video is essentially an advertisement for Eventide, Dave Smith Instruments, and White Noise Audio. And, I guess, polyrhythms. As you’re aware, I’m one of the only music-tech bloggers that actually informs you when I get freebies, and the Space falls in to that category. But you also know that I have purchased, at one time or another, virtually everything Eventide has made, from the H910 on up to the H8000FW. The Space is, like the other pedals in this series, top notch.
In other news, after a week of truly nightmarish problems (brought on, no doubt, by my sanguine outlook in the previous post) we now have in our possession all 10 (yes, you read that right, the number ten, including 32- and 64-bit builds of VST3, VST2.4, and AU) builds of Filterstation. We have some tidying up to do, and a couple little bugs to work out, but we’re getting very close. I’m guessing this will go out to the NFR list shortly, so they can bang on it while we write the manual, and at some point Real Soon Now, Filterstation will be on sale.
Theoretically.
