EDIT: Sale is over, sorry.

I think I'm AD-Complete, or I'd buy some shit. BTW where did the Ratshack go?
Damn. Thanks for bringing my gear fast to an abrupt end. Now I have to resist the urge to allowing AD to becoming my gateway gear to a new Tempest. Shit....and I was so close to finishing these fucking mixes for our next album, too.
Yar! Grabbed Filterstation! Why doesn't it show up in ProTools????
:-P
Best. Promocode. Ever. Thanks, AD.
"I see a ship in the harbor
I can and shall obey
But if it wasn't for your misfortune
I'd be a heavenly person today"
Can anyone tell me what the song is about... I had no idea when I was 13 and I still don't know today.

It was the 80s. Lyrics didn't have to make sense.
For some reason I always thought it was "I count a shallow bay." Not that the real lyrics are any less opaque.

Just shared the link on Facebook. So if one of my three Facebook friends buys something, you'll know it's my influence.
So look out for purchases from either my mom, that weird guy trying to date my mom or my parole officer.
It is fortunate for you that the last two are not one and the same.
'Cause --- awkward!

"I used to think that the day would never come
I'd see the light in the shade of the morning sun
the morning sun is the drug that brings me near
to the childhood I lost replaced by fear"
Blue Monday is vaguely about betrayal. True Faith is vaguely about drugs, I think. Though I can't be sure. I think that Barnie's goal writing lyrics was to make them vague enough you could project whatever meaning you wanted to onto them.
Of course they could both be about drugs. "Blue Monday" was raver slang for how crap you feel on Monday after taking a bunch of Es at a Saturday night rave.
I used to have a cassette copy of "Power, Corruption, & Lies", done from a friend's vinyl copy. Years later I bought the CD when it came out, and discovered that my tape had side 2 recorded before side 1. (This was an easy-enough mistake to make since Factory records had next to nothing on the labels.) I'd grown so used to hearing the album in that order, though, that to this day (literally) I re-order the tracks when playing it. I have a similar problem with Cluster & Eno's "After the Heat"; the CD release was completely scrambled compared to the vinyl.

Seriously, New Order was so fucking good.
I hate the way people have taken their influence so literally. People always gotta be reducing shit.
I could write an essay on people being over-literal in receiving influences.
Everybody reading this knows I could write an essay on it.
Mercifully, I will spare you this essay.

I saw a New Order, Sugarcubes and PiL triple bill in '89. Kind of a life-changing experience.
Bathing in Phosphorous goodness.
Thank you for the Blue Monday special... best of luck for 2012.
I missed it, got home from work too late =o[
Thanks for the great sale.
My current budget had no room for anything outside of racing the bicycle occasionally this season. There are times when one must shift priorities though.
A month from now, when the boss is gone for ten days, I'll have the laptop at work jamming with the new toys and the race I missed won't seem so important.
Perfect!
@Computer Controlled: It goes 'til Midnight tonight.

So very tempting. But your videos have me gearlusting after a modular too.
Amazing, thanks CR. Pushed me over the edge on Eos!
I assumed Blue Monday was about Ian Curtis (strained relationship yada yada) but apparently the band have said it was a direct response to the Falklands War (being '82 and all that).
Then there's the story that it was only written to have something to play to fans who wanted encores without having to play encores (y'know, just press play, let the sequencer do the rest)
DOH! Double facepalm... i missed it AGAIN then. Just shoot me.
I didn't miss it!!! Got Filterstation and Panstation... even though I didn't really need 'em. What the hell... it's America! Might as well go into debt for a good cause.
I actually use this excuse to buy music hard and software (mostly software nowdays) as my charity. My charity is helping support musicians and music engineers (in whatever form) by buying their hardware, software and music. That's my favorite charity... and most musicians need it... plus I (ususally) get something good out of the deal!!!
Thanks for the sale, Chris and Adam. Isn't this the first "sale" for AD? Seems I remember seeing before that AD didn't do "sale", since your plug-ins are so reasonably priced (too low?) anyway. You guys do good work... good charitable work for us poor musicians!
And also a good charity... ;D
