Nicely done.

You've had the Maschine for a while now. Are you still enjoying it?

**Chris Randall** (2013-02-11):

Best drum machine made, IMO.

Cool tune. But I've been listening to so much dubstep lately I kept waiting for teh drop. Help me.

Nice! To my ears, it actually sounds very Swedish, too. Send it to Fever Ray, maybe she'll put some vocals on it. Ditto on Machine.

**mr ecklie** (2013-02-11):

Yes, great track. I'd buy that for a dollar!

**scirec** (2013-02-11):

Thx for the track. Very nice and much much better than anything on Autechre's Exai I must say.

**Chris Randall** (2013-02-11):

Oh, I don't know about that. I'm pretty fond of the new Autechre.

Great track! Have to admit that I really hadn't given the A4 much thought but it sounds great here....

After watching the video and reading your comment about Maschine, I'm curious about your workflow here. Are you sequencing everything in Maschine and simply using Live for effects? Are you using the sequencing functions on the A4?

If you're a windows user, you can try Vegas HD Studio. I don't use the to full version that does a whole lot of shit I don't care about, but the 99 or buck fifty version that is fine for editing and rendering something that is going in YouTube. No doubt I have tediously workflow or do shit that is outright wrong, being self-taught, but I have fun editing and experimenting with cuts and whatnot.

If CR will indulge me, here's my take on a live-in-studio jam. 4 or 6 takes; choose the best audio/performance; edited together the video from all takes. Used a point and shoot Panasonic digital that has HD. http://youtu.be/08COI28Rew4

Here's me chopping up and remixing a public domain video in Vegas to one of my instrumental songs. http://youtu.be/sBsFxvMgOOw

If you've ever used ACID it's pretty quick to get your head around VEGAS.

My next big gear goal has to be upping my A/D, cause I'm limited to recording a stereo pair through my L22. What CR says is true: being able to tweak a mix or do a bit of post production would make life so much easier. There can be a lot of frustrating takes where only one or two small things went off.
