Audio Damage Summer Sale...
From the original Analog Industries archive. Some links and images from that era no longer resolve.

When I was a little tyke, we went to visit my grandparents who lived in San Diego once. While we were there, I saw a television commercial (once, natch) that was so powerful in its delivery that I remember it verbatim to this day. A Google search shows me that this was apparently a well-known commercial series, fondly remembered by all that saw it. I can’t find the specific commercial I remember, but here’s a compendium of a whole bunch of them with the same general theme.
Caveat Emptor: that is quite possibly the E-Bola virus of ear worms. You’ve been warned.
All this by way of saying that my failings in the marketing vein are manifold and obvious. I am, in every way possible, the exact opposite of the marketing genius that put those commercials together. All I know is this: you kids like you some sales. So we’re having one. Hit the Audio Damage store and enter the code HOTINHERRE at checkout for 30% off your entire order. I’ll stand upon my head ‘til my ears are turnin’ red.
EDIT: Sale all done. Thanks all! Now it’s time to go fuel up the Gulfstream and fly off to my private volcano lair to work on the next product.

If you ever want to get some of that Ebola ear worm action in your own work, I'm fairly confident that "If You're Happy and You Know It" could be successfully argued to be public domain:

Just active for the day?
Sorry. 'Til Wednesday midnight.

Just made you a little richer. You're welcome and thank you.
"Richer" implies that I'm rich in the first place. "Less poor" would be a better way to put it. ;-)

I didn't see Spot on the airplane. Maybe he was flying the plane?
Spot _is_ the airplane.

In a cruel twist of fate, I have been waiting for you to do a sale so I could buy a couple plugins. But I wasn't expecting you to do it during the same pay period where I had already spent $700 on software.
Forget plugins.. I need a new car after those commercials... and now!!
It's Cal Worthington and his Dog Spot!
Bada bada something something, go see Cal
Chipped in a few bucks so you can top off the old G550.
I was joking to myself that if I won that monster Powerball last weekend, and someone asked me what brand of car I was going to buy, I'd say "Gulfstream."
Naturally, I didn't win Powerball last weekend. So "Dodge Avenger" is still the brand of car I drive.

Thank you AudioDamage!
I'm going to wreck some techno music now.
Have a wicked good sale!
Interesting tidbit about the Gulfstreams:
Back in the day, when Steve Jobs was still alive and making $1/year at Apple he had an interesting perk. He had a G5 of his own, and Apple would reimburse his travel expenses at something well north of $5000 an hour (check the Apple annual reports circa 2006 for details). At the same time, the frugal US Department of Defense listed the operating cost of their G5s at about $2700 an hour.
So Steve was still getting his paycheck, he was just funneling it through the operating costs of his jet.
And the jet was no doubt owned by a Cayman Islands holding company. Rules are different for rich people.

Thank you AD and Chris,
now I'm off to try and save my speakers from imminent death by Ronin :-)
Everyone who ever watched TV in LA from the 60s to the 80s know Cal Worthington commercials. The first ad on YouTube didn't have my most memorable line: "I will stand upon my head 'til my ears are turning red!'
RE: Audio Damage sale. Too late, already a completist. I'll pass the word along to my confreres.
I lived in SoCal for a while as a kid, and those commercials made an indelible impression.
I am with Boobs. Literally. In the flesh. Awesome DJ set @Ground Kontrol! Always good to hear Analords on a big sound system. :)
I'm unclear as to whether you are excited about having boobs yourself, or being boob adjacent.
