Ana-loggin' With Your Hosts, RT60...

From the original Analog Industries archive. Some links and images from that era no longer resolve.

Ah, yes, the UP K2-X, the masterpiece of British analogue percussion engineering. “Super Analogue,” even. Normally I only put photos in the RT60 set on my Flickr page of gear that actually made it on to a track, but in this instance I break with tradition. We wasted about an hour trying to get this thing to sound like, well, pretty much anything besides what it sounded like, which is an anaemic cricket. Alas, we admitted defeat and moved along.

Anyhow, we’re closing in on completion for Song Two, and are thinking about Song Three. And you know what happens when Song Three is mixed, don’t you? Chris starts begging for a label. We’re not going to put RT60 out on Positron!, but are rather aiming for a label equipped to deal with this sort of thing. Obviously, suggestions are welcome, but since you have no idea what this sounds like (I imagine the synth nrrrrds have visions of Transfer Station Blue dancing in their heads; unfortunately, that is wrong) you don’t have much to go on.

Suffice to say it is slow and synthy, and has vocals.
