I was going to put up a post about how utterly annoying I found that whole humanthesizer thing that made the rounds yesterday. I was going to say that the only thing that made that video actually get posted by anyone was boobies, because it certainly wasn’t the tried-and-true technology used, and it absolutely wasn’t the bog-standard pop-house that passed for the resulting music. I just thought the whole thing was pretty foul.

But then I thought “hey, let the boys have their fun. What the fuck do I care?” I mean, it’s not like women have any objection to objectification, right? (In a very literal sense here, I’ll add.) And male musicians are generally a group well known for their respect of females, so there’s no harm in just taking that to the next logical step.

But seriously, come on. At least pretend you’re classy.

    that was pretty douchey. definitely all about the peep show. that guy could hardly take himself seriously you could tell just by looking at his face.

    I knew a dude that traded 2 gold records for a shizload of crack...now that's class.

    Viral marketing at it's annoyingest.

    What was the most irritating was that the artists had clearly put a lot of time and effort into it, and Calvin Harris rolls up, does a lacklustre something, and it's not even a proper performance video. What was the point of them even rehearsing it? What a waste of some otherwise totally useful marketing monies.
