Huh, Who'da Thunk It?
From the original Analog Industries archive. Some links and images from that era no longer resolve.
Hey, look at this. Keyboard players can over-play drum parts ludicrously ahead of the beat just like real drummers. Who knew?
(For what it’s worth, it’s fun to make fun, but I can’t do that, even ahead of the beat.)
On a completely unrelated note, I went and had lunch today with the head of R&D at Fender, and got a quick tour of their shop(s). Cool place, cool people, I gotta say. They didn’t think my idea of a 13-necked guitar on a rotating belt-clip with an on-board artificial neural network was really marketable, but I’ll keep plugging away.

Obviously, a 13 necked guitar would never work in our Western musical system. You need to limit to 12 necks, one for each note in a 12-tone scale. I can't find an issue with the belt-clip and neural network ideas, though, that sounds awesome!
Would the neural network be bluetooth compatible?
Maybe you should submit a revised plan with only 12 necks. You don't even have to change the physical layout, just replace the 13th neck with a theremin-like antenna.
Please tell Mr. R&D at Fender not to do anything stupid to that Johnny Marr signature Jaguar they're working on, namely: relicing.
That's a different department. The ones I talked to make old shit new, not new shit old.

Don't forget the Creative Prodikeys drum video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwKxbK4kgvw
I spent several moments trying to figure out what re-licing could possibly entail, especially in regards to guitars.

If you want Fender to make the 13 neck guitar, just tell them the guitarist from maroon 5 plays one...they'll already be making it by the time you finish your sentence!
even if that guy played on the beat it's still boring.
I'm with boobs.
I'm with boobs. Jazz pushes my snooze button like little else.
